A chapter by Contract Farming Initiative members Mark Vicol and Helena Perez Nino appears in the recently published Routledge Handbook of Land and Resource Grabbing. In the chapter, Vicol and Perez Nino aim to clarify conceptualizations of contract farming in the global land grab debate, given contract farming’s ambivalent position in the land grabbing literature as variously a form of land grabbing, an inclusive alternative to land grabbing, or a way to organize production post-land grab. The Handbook and chapter are open access!
